I'm sure that if you have signed up, you are already aware that the event is going to start on October 30, and run to November 01. I am currently planning on there being a total of twelve matches, four per night -- this can change, depending on the number of people that are interested in competing, as well as the number of people that are willing to help: I am going to need people that would be willing to do match writing! I am going to need people that are willing to help judge matches! The only matches that would not need judging are from the e-fed or people that have agreed to an angled finish. Which... is allowed. The match should still be written. Along with matches, I will have my own segments written that will showcase as many of the guests as I can. Other segments will be part of the show, and welcome!
As most of you have heard: I have already talked to two people about being the team captains for the main event. One of them seems pretty set on taking it, but the other needs more time to think about it. I am wanting the captains to be FINALIZED by AUGUST 21! I am wanting to have the card completed by SEPTEMBER 25! This means that the team captains would have over thirty days to build their team. This also means that anyone who has an RP-decided match will have ONE FULL MONTH to have their RP in by their deadline.
Remember, the deadline does change based on what night you are fighting on.
If you are capable of match writing, please let me know!
If you are capable of judging matches, please let me know! -- I am wanting each match requiring a judge to have a different set of judges, and hoping to also avoid having friends rate friends matches.
In the case that my character(s) are present for a match, I will not decide the judges... but rather, choose someone else to name the judges that I feel would be fair.
At the end of the day, this is all just for fun! I'd love to see some huge cross-promotion matches occur, or just heated rivalries. I hope everyone will have fun with it! I am also going to want to open up an open RP section, that would ideally be set -on the cruise-. I will bring that up with Mongo as we get closer, but I would imagine this section would cover over the three days. Maybe up to a couple days in advance of it? We'll work those details out! And... yes, I'm planning on mentioning all the forms of entertainment that would be present on the ship. But really, it comes down to your imagination.
Sorry! I tend to get excited, and carried away with planning things... Anyways! Hope you'll all join in, and hope you'll all have fun! Start building up matches. I may have a huge one that I'm looking forward to!
