The speakers let out the beginning synth beats of "Kingslayer" by Bring Me The Horizon and BABYMETAL erupts through the PA System as the lights shine a purple hue around the arena, the fans within the arena rain down with cheers with the lights shining down now with a purple hue and the one singular white spotlight continuing to shine down onto the entrance curtain. Soon, the entrance curtain pulls back, and out steps Jason Long- a smile on his face as he soaks in that crowd reaction, the Project: Honor Prime Championship resting on his shoulder. Jason looks out to the crowd, keeping that smile on his face as he stands at the top of the ramp with his arms stretched out wide, the championships in his hands, soaking in all of the cheers that rain down onto him. Flames shoot up each side of The King as raises his leg and slam his foot down to the metal floor, setting off the large explosion of pyrotechnics behind him and allowing the crowd to enjoy the view.

Jason stands up on the ring apron, leaning back against the ropes and keeping his right arm along the top rope as he points out to the crowd and hastily makes his way into the ring and into the closest corner to him where he leaps onto the second rope. Jason places his left foot on the top rope as he stretches his arms out once again with the championships in his hands, letting out a loud "YEAH!" to the crowd as he brings his arms down, placing the championship down onto the ropes below and slips out of his black leather jacket, throwing it down to the ringside crew and climbing up to the top rope before doing a backflip down to the mat where he nails the perfect landing. Jason turns to face his opponent and then backs himself into the corner, waiting for the bell to ring.

BRIEF HISTORY:
(unfinished, updated to December 2020)
EARLY CAREER | ICON CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING
Maverick began his wrestling career in August of 2015 at the young age of 18, being trained by many Irish trainers until he went to England at the age of 19 and met with Johnny Moss and trained hard for over a year until he was scouted by Icon Championship Wrestling officials and signed to the company in June of 2017. A few weeks later, Maverick would have his debut match for the company in a Three-Way Match where he would come up to a tough loss to Mad Dog Smith after outside interference by Chaos Kid. Maverick would pick up a couple more losses until he finally beat Mad Dog Smith to capture a shot at the ICW Ironman Championship, then held by Chaos Kid. He would lose that match and then be put into a 5 on 5 Tag Team Match, the last two remaining would become contenders to the Tag Team Championships. After the match, it was decided that Maverick would team with the ICW World Heavyweight Champion, Jack Diamond, as they faced Duke Kosloff and Chaos Kid at Shattered Reflection. Both Maverick and Diamond won the ICW Tag Team Championships after some outside interference by Bobby Barratt helped the duo win. The company closed before they could ever defend the Tag Team Championships.
XTREME HARDCORE FEDERATION NETWORK
After Icon Championship Wrestling closed down in early October, Maverick got a tip about another American-based wrestling company within a "Network" of federations named The XHF Network, where he would join Ascension Wrestling Federation. The first few months were tough for Maverick, being only a professional for about 3-4 months beforehand. At AWF's Prestige 7, he would join a faction along with rivals from ICW; Bobby Barratt, Jack Diamond, and El Cazador to form The Icons. At Prestige 11, he would pick up his first win under the AWF brand as he teamed with The Icons to beat The Order in an 8 Man Tag Match.
His first singles victory would come in the form of beating Kira Izumi at Prestige 12, just before Maverick was given a shot at the AWF State of Ohio Championship at Road to Victory in 2018, from there he beat Jason Justice to win his first singles Championship but the reign was short-lived as he was beaten in his first defense to Seth Dillinger. This led to a rivalry that went on for a few months, leading to two draws between both Maverick and Dillinger before Dillinger finished off Maverick in a Ladder Match at Prestige 21. Maverick would go out of the title picture for a few months, after a match for the Tag Team Championships as he teamed with Copycat, he called out the Prestige Champion, Seth Dillinger. Felix Ziko came out and gave Maverick an opponent for A Very AWF Christmas in the form of the returning HYPERION. This match was where Maverick outshined and upped himself to the Prestige Division after beating HYPERION with multiple Iconkicks and one Running Single Leg Dropkick. Following Supremacy and the win over M.G.K, Maverick would take over the reins of The Diamond Lounge after the retirement of Jack Diamond after Diamonds Are Forever. Maverick was granted a Prestige Championship Match against Chris Card at Road To Victory before HYPERION intersected and put himself into the match, the match ended with Maverick eating the pin from Chris Card.
At Prestige XXX, Maverick brought in Nathan "Drago" Santiago to The AWF Icons and laid out HYPERION. At The Rumble, Maverick and Drago beat three other teams to win the XHF Tag Team Championships. Later that night, Maverick would enter the Rumble Match and come in eighth place. In June, Maverick would interfere in Seth Dillinger vs Copycat for the X*Crown Championship and then put himself into the X*Crown Title Picture, along with this match, he accepted to a match where Maverick's Diamond Lounge would be on the line against AXW's Anthony Caffrey in a Title vs Lounge 2 Out Of 3 Falls Match that was dubbed "The Three Stages of Superiority Match" at Battle of The Best. Maverick lost both matches and ended up feeling like he's lost it all. The weeks leading up to the next Prestige were filled with rumors of Maverick retiring or leaving AWF, at that Prestige it was confirmed that they were nothing more than rumors. After his loss to Chris Card at Beach Blast, the rumors began to speculate once more as retirement seemed more likely than before. Throughout the week, he would wrestle for Master Class Championship Wrestling's Master Clash event in a winning effort of a Tag Match against Dos Angeles and once more with Sakura-Gun at Sakura Shoujo Stampede's Lucky 13 event. After the match against Sakura-Gun, Maverick came clear and the rumors were true. He would begin his retirement from there on in the XHF.
Three days after the retirement, he would surprise the entire network and end up in the Infinity Realms of IRW, from there... nothing much is heard from Maverick. Until the rumor mills were turning again, MCCW had acquired a very strong signing and his name would eventually be Maverick, revealed shortly after MCCW's Mastery Tour ended. He would also insert himself as an X*Crown competitor for End of Days 2019 after beating PSW's competitor, Lucas Swann, but his rise to the top would end in shambles as within fingertips from winning the X*Crown, he came up short in the Vortex Match being beaten out by Bobby Barratt; long time friend and rival. Maverick would then continue his run in MCCW before shockingly inserting himself back into the X*Crown scene again as AWF hosted it's second Very AWF Christmas. This time, he would cut through gauntlet members such as Joe Nobody and Dylan Black before meeting Bobby Barratt in the Main Event where he would win his first X*Crown Championship.
This would lead Maverick to sign back with Ascension Wrestling Federation at Prestige Forty-Five, and on that same night, he'd readapt the name of the "Legend Killer" after snapping, then AWF United States Champion, Eric Dane's arm. He would lose the X*Crown Championship to Zoran Sainovic in the LEGO Minefield Deathmatch at Supremacy. A few weeks later, he would tag with his old rival, Seth Dillinger, to face Natasha and Anthony Caffrey. It wouldn't go well as Maverick was dropped on his neck with From Cradle to Grave by Natasha, he would have ended up needing surgery in his neck to fix the broken vertebrae. He would return to the XHF upon his entry in the Call to Arms Tournament but he was eliminated in the first round by Jack Diamond, leading to his team's demise against Team Fuck Mongo. After the event, the question on everyone’s mind was if Maverick would return full-time to The XHF Network but that question was answered on June 13th when Maverick made a shocking appearance in Destiny Wrestling to compete against Johnny Bulldog, to which he had won before signing the contract and a deal with Destiny Wrestling.
On the side, Champoon’ Wrasslin would be given El Maverino - the masked persona of Maverick - during their third season where he won the Champoon Wrasslin Extravaganzanental Championship for a total of thirty-three days before losing it to Axel Topnotch. Of course, that wouldn’t be the last anyone had seen of El Maverino as he surprisingly appeared out of nowhere in Destiny Wrestling to defeat the then Heavyweight Champion; Yuki Sakaraba. Maverino would go on for weeks and weeks, declaring he had a championship match waiting for him, but as King Brad Swann was declared the champion, it would leave Maverino to face off against the new champion on the night of Night of Champions Eleven. After a grueling match, Maverino would win the Destiny Wrestling Heavyweight Championship from King Brad Swann, but he would then unmask right after the match to show it to be Maverick underneath the mask all along. Maverick would reign as Destiny Wrestling Heavyweight Champion for a number of months, collecting defenses from the likes of Subject Forty-Two and Crimson Dragon, not losing a single match since becoming champion.
During this reign, Maverick would announce his intentions to compete in the 2020 Fired Up Tournament. This would mark a small return to AWF since the incident in February. Maverick would compete in the Fired Up Battle Royal, where he would come fourth in the running. The next Prestige saw him in a losing effort to Keith Williams and Seth Dillinger after his partner was ragdolled around. This would lead to the night of Fired Up and Destiny Wrestling’s Season Finale - Master of Destiny. King Brad Swann would get his rematch for the championship and successfully defeat Maverick to regain his championship prize in a No Holds Barred Match. Maverick would then travel to AWF, teaming with Seth Dillinger to win the Tag Team Tournament Finals before being turned on at the very end in a losing effort to become the new AWF Prestige Champion.
Maverick soon turned his intentions towards the End of Days Tournament where he’d be victorious in the first round to Wellington Dunne before falling short in the second round to King Brad Swann in a rematch from Master of Destiny. Season Four would kick off with a bang as Maverick faced The ReVenants member, Keith Williams. The No Disqualification match would end in Maverick’s favor as he’d send a direct message to Seth Dillinger right after the bell had rung. Maverick would then defeat Johnny Bulldog for the Destiny Wrestling Shooting Star Championship and then defeat Adrien Cochrane in the same night. The following week, he faced King Brad Swann in a successful defense for the Shooting Star Championship. Though, the week after did not end up well as he’d fall and drop the title to Travis Monroe.
After this was a month of worry as The King would soon face his past, and finding out that The King was not who he said he was, The Prince was the real man that got stuck in the Infinity Realms and that he found his way out through the middle of Realm Maverick's tenure as the Destiny Wrestling Heavyweight Champion. The Prince was El Maverino all along and he wanted to make sure that everything that The King had done up until this point was soon to be destroyed for good. Along with himself. The Prince, at that time, knew it was a suicide mission that he was willing to take to the extreme. The 26th came around and it was time for Jason's final stand -- in a match that was deemed too violent for television and didn't receive the green light to be aired until January 3rd, a whole seven days after the event had taken place -- all of the truth came to light and in the end, in what was one of the most violent matches to have taken place on the XHF Network to date, Jason Long came out of the match victorious. Realm Maverick's body was dumped into the casket and everything was set in stone. The Infinity Realms were once again saved. Through all of the carnage of the match and the realm jumping, Jason had lost his mother during the war after Realm Maverick stabbed her eight times through the chest and the stomach. Shortly dying to the internal and external bleeding wounds and blood loss.
XTREME HARDCORE WRESTLING
Maverick would end up in the MGM Grand as XHW would be hosting their All Or Nothing event, that's when he appeared and attacked Daman Arress before making a statement that he would take over XHW all by himself. From there, he would begin a winning streak and would win the XHW Pride Championship from David Arnold at Full Throttle. He would lose the title at the next Saturday Night Anarchy event but would gain it back in a Two Out of Three Falls Match two weeks later. Maverick would hold the title until God Amongst Men when he lost it in an Xscape Match to Lucas Knight. After accepting the open challenge by Leon Washington for the XHW United States Championship, he would go on to win that title at X-Fest Night Two in Arlington, Texas. He would go on to enter King of Trios with Howell and Saylor St. James but during the semi-finals and the final, she was replaced by Shawn Hughes. Howell would turn on Maverick and Shawn, causing them to lose out on the King of Trios Tournament victory.
A few weeks later, Maverick would enter his first Elimination Chamber match and within it, he became XHW Undisputed Champion whilst holding the XHW United States Championship. He would go on to lose the said belt to Frankie Harkins on an episode of Tuesday Night Riot after interference by Howell and then lose the Undisputed Championship two months later in the All or Nothing Battle Royal. After returning to the ring at the end of Howell vs Shawn Hughes at Full Throttle a month later, he announced a match with himself and Howell at SuperBrawl. Maverick would lose that match, continuing Howell’s SuperBrawl streak before he would try again to best Howell at God Amongst Men but once again fell to the hands of Howell and has never been seen in XHW since.

OMEGA WRESTLING ALLIANCE
Signing the deal in December of 2019, Maverick found his way into Omega Wrestling Alliance after some backstage conversations with Joshi wrestling legend, Azumi Goto. Joining the Olympus brand, he became a quick rising star before his injury in February 2020 put him out of action.
Maverick has also worked for many other promotions such as SCUM Underground, Kingdom Pro, Strong Style Wrestling and many more.
